Summer Sun 2020
Riding with the Sun blazing
As much as I needed and would have liked to have been working in 2020, I did enjoy having the morning to be out on the bike for a couple of hours, especially when the sun was blazing through the trees like it was very often this summer.
I had some amazing rides. Not amazing because they were gnarly, or epic, or new but because they felt fantastic. For me there is nothing better than being in the forest with the sun blazing through the trees, flashing at you as you pick your route through on the bike. The trails just seemed to be faster and flowing like they were pushing me along rather than resisting the bike. The up hills weren’t a struggle and I found myself scouting the scenery more instead of busting a lung. A great summer to be out on bike!
I captured loads of amazing photos and sunny videos to share. The next project is to pick out the best short videos, small snapshots of great scenery. Even though they probably don’t trigger positive emotions for you they are great memories and every time I look at them, I get the good feelings come flooding back. I hope they inspire you to get out in 2021 when the summer arrives.
