Mountain Biking Cauldwell Dam Differently
I really enjoy biking one of my favourite short routes in a little bit of wood between Derby Road and Cauldwell Dam, near Mansfield. It's a lovely short downhill singletrack section full of tree roots. A great place to practise, as a fire road runs straight through the wood back to the top, so it's possible to keep looping round. It also links a number of my local loops.
I've been wanting to film the section for a while and finally the weather improved to allow me to....but I decided to do the film in a little different style. Hope you enjoy it!!
The sun is back in the UK. After a couple of days of rain, heavy in places, its heating up again. I jumped out of bed this morning to get out on the bike and capture the Sun rising. Check out the views....

There is nothing like bursting through one of your favourite trails to clear the cobwebs away. Some trails can be exhilarating, some can be challenging but most favourite trails provide a great feeling at the end, be it achievement or pure adrenaline. One of my favourite trails is the trail down church hill....
